The training course lasts for 2 semesters in a historical place – Peterhof (the historical suburb near St Petersburg). During the training students learn basic terminology and grammatical structures of the academic language of the three disciplines in their field of specialization. The training is provided by best teachers from St Petersburg State University, who are ready to invest in each student a huge amount of knowledge and share their experience and wisdom.

Learning Russian as a Foreign Language + 3 general education subjects from the student's area of specialization
Russian as a foreign language test (TRKI-1 level), which gives the maximum number of points for admission to St Petersburg State University for the main training programs, is mandatory for students to pass the final certification in the Russian language. Students will also take tests in specialized subjects in the end of Second semester. The Certificate proving the First level of proficiency in Russian language is necessary for foreign applicants to study at a Russian university. Students, who have successfully completed the preparatory course, are issued a certificate of St Petersburg State University of the established sample on the completion of the DOP "The Preparatory Department for foreign citizens".
- A copy of the applicant's identity document. The passport must be valid for at least 18 months from the date of applying for the visa
- The document confirming applicant’s education with corresponding appendices
- 3x4 photo
- A document of the medical institution of the applicant's country of residence confirming the absence of medical contraindications for training, including a certificate from a psychiatrist and a narcologist
